Women’s Programs

Every day women search for meaning and purpose in their lives.  The Salvation Army in Barrhaven is poised to meet the needs of women by providing opportunities to build relationship, to explore a deeper understanding of faith in Jesus, and to encourage one another in our day to day lives.

Through a relationship with Jesus Christ, and in connection with one another, we strive to reach our full potential, understanding our influence among family and friends, and in our community.  We aim to grow in our personal understanding and life skill, and address issues which affect women and their families around the world.

At The Salvation Army Barrhaven Church you’ll find:

Women’s Retreat

Each fall, women from our church and community have an opportunity to join with other women from the province of Ontario for one of three annual retreats held at The Salvation Army Jackson’s Point Conference Centre.  During each of these weekend retreats, women enjoy connecting with one another, relevant Bible teaching from guest speakers, engaging worship, special interest sessions and opportunities to support The Salvation Army’s work in countries around the world.  All of this happens in a beautiful setting on the shores of Lake Simcoe.  Applications usually become available in February and spaces fill very quickly.  For any further information, please feel free to Contact Us.
