Sunday School

Our Sunday School is led by trained volunteers and offers age-appropriate worship and Bible learning opportunities. Children join with the adults for the first portion of the worship service before transitioning to their class.

First Look

Ages 3 - Grade 1

Jr. Sunday School

Ages 3 - Grade 1

First Look combines child development and theology to create a powerful strategy that meets kids where they are and inspires them to develop a deeper faith.

Each lesson focuses on one of three basic truths:

God made me
God loves me
God wants to be my friend forever

252 Kids + 252 Preteen

Grades 2 - 6

Sr. Sunday School

Grades 2 - 6

252 Kids centers around three basic, essential truths modeled after Luke 2:52 (which inspires the name “252”):

I need to make the wise choice.

I can trust God no matter what.

I should treat others the way I want to be treated.

Nursery

There is an unsupervised nursery off the worship space where parents can listen to the service, while their children play with the provided toys.

Financial Assistance

The Salvation Army Barrhaven is committed to ensuring children in our community can experience summer camp, including those whose families may face financial or logistical barriers.

To help make this possible, we provide support for children to attend Blaze Adventure Camp (ages 6–10) and Newport Adventure Camp (ages 11–16), offered through The Salvation Army Ontario Camping Ministries.

Junior Brass Band

Beginner/Junior Band

Interested in learning a brass instrument?

The Barrhaven Church Junior Band program exists to make music development accessible to everyone.

Students will be assigned an instrument and supported by skilled volunteers at weekly practices. In addition to weekly meetings, self-guided practice at home will help solidify what is being taught. Contact our church office for more information on the start date of our next session.

At this time, Junior Band registration is full and we are no longer taking registrations. Please continue to check back for updates of when we will reopen registration.
