About our Multicultural Ministries
1.5 million new immigrants will arrive in Canada within the next 3 years, seeking friendship and community, and with the dream to start a new life and reach their maximum potential.
The Salvation Army Barrhaven’s Multicultural Ministries seeks to support you and your family as newcomers to Canada through a free English language cafe, practical supports, professional development opportunities, and community events.
We’ve partnered with Love New Canadians, a ministry that equips local churches to serve new Canadians in their neighbourhoods and to be intentionally welcoming for immigrants, refugees, and newcomers. The Love New Canadians program is welcoming, respectful, and interactive. We always want to be sensitive to, and affirming of, the cultural, ethnic, and religious background of every immigrant.
