Visiting a new church can be intimidating. What should I wear? Where do I park? Where do my kids go?
We understand the many thoughts that can come from visiting a new church, so we want you to feel completely comfortable when you visit. Below are some frequently asked questions. If you have any additional questions, don’t hesitate to contact us.
Our Sunday Morning Worship Services are at 10:30am and are held at St. Andrew School in Barrhaven, and typically last approximately 75 minutes.
What should I wear?
We want you to feel comfortable. After all, we are thrilled that you’re joining us and want you to be more focused on the service than what you’re wearing. In the summertime, it’s not uncommon to see people wearing sandals, shorts, and a shirt. Others prefer to still put on their “Sunday best,” and that’s fine too! While there will be many wearing the iconic Salvation Army uniform, we think that you’ll fit in no matter how you dress.
How do I get to The Salvation Army Barrhaven Church?
Our Sunday Morning Worship Services are at 10:30am and are held at St. Andrew School at 201 Crestway Dr. in Nepean.
Where should I park?
Parking is off of Crestway Dr. using the school parking lot. You may park in any available spot; there is no reserved parking. We do ask that you not park in the lane in front of the school, as it is reserved for handicapped drivers.
Where do my children go?
Children will stay with the adults for the first portion of the worship service. Children toddler through seventh grade will be dismissed to Sunday School partway through the service.
Our Sunday School meets in the school library. It is led by trained volunteers and offers age-appropriate worship and Bible learning opportunities.
Am I expected to put money in the offering?
If you are visiting with us, we don’t expect you to put money in the offering and you are welcome to just let it pass you by.
If you consider The Salvation Army Barrhaven Church your church home, we’d love for you to prayerfully consider giving. You can give by cheque or cash during the service, or can sign-up for direct withdrawals.
